报告简介:

Sustainable catalysis is fundamentally important in making functional molecules such as electronic materials and pharmaceuticals. Two new sustainable catalytic methods recently developed will be discussed in this talk, including iron catalysis avoiding recourse to scarce resources, and photocatalysis without using conventional photocatalysts.

As the most abundant metal on the Earth, iron has the advantages as a catalyst for the synthesis of organic electronic materials in terms of low cost, low toxicity, and high sustainability. However, the synthesis of organic electronic materials so far mostly relies on using precious metals catalysts. In this talk, two types of recently achieved iron-catalyzed transformations, namely tandem annulation and C–H/C-H polymerization for organic electronic materials are introduced. The products made by iron-catalysis were applied in perovskite solar cells and photodetectors achieving high device performances. On the other hand, inspired by the fundamentals of photoinduced charge generation and transfer in materials science, new photocatalytic methods by photoactivation of transiently assemble chromophore and by using simple organic anions as catalysts were developed for the synthesis of compounds of importance in medicinal chemistry. These photocatalytic methodologies avoiding popularly used photoredox catalysts (Ir, Ru complexes, organic dyes) reduce costs and improve sustainability for photosynthesis.

报告人简介:

  尚睿,中国科学技术大学化学系特任教授。2009年在中国科学技术大学获得学士学位,2012年至2014年在日本东京大学作为联合培养博士研究生,2014年在中国科学技术大学获得博士学位,后入选日本学术振兴会(JSPS)外国人特别研究员(2014-2016)。目前的研究方向为基于可持续催化的有机合成化学以及有机光电功能材料的开发。在Science, Nature Catalysis, Nature Energy, Chemical Review, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Nature Communication, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.等国际一流期刊上发表学术论文60余篇,他引六千余次,其中他引过百次的论文23篇。曾荣获第七届中国青少年科技创新奖(2011)、全国大学生课外科技学术作品竞赛国家级特等奖(20092011)、中国科学院院长特别奖(2013)、中科院百篇博士学位论文奖(2014)、日本化学会学术讲演赏(2018)、留日华人最優秀青年学者賞(2019)多项奖励。持有中国和日本发明专利十余项。2022年入选Science of Synthesis Thieme)青年编委,并获得瑞士化学会颁发的Bürgenstock ConferenceJSP fellowship。研究成果被人民日报、日经产业新闻、日本经济新闻、日刊工业新闻、日本科学技术振新机构(JST)等数次报道。
